My name is Dave Hennings. I have been a full-time guide ever since I sold my Lumber and Hardware business in 2004. Cindy and I moved to Chamberlain, South Dakota, and I guided out of Allen’s Hillside Resort and created a fishing tackle manufacturing business (www.henningstackle.com). We moved back to Northwest Iowa to be closer to family and to guide on the lakes that I grew up on.
The Okoboji’s are a fisherman’s dream. We have many species of fish, and normally there is always something biting. The crappies, blue gills, and yellow bass have been the fish most everyone wants to fish for. It is usually nonstop action and great fun for all ages! Bass, walleye and northern pike round out the rest and bite best at different times of the year.
We will fish out of a newer Lund 22-foot fiberglass boat with the latest electronics. I can accommodate 6 people plus myself and ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
I will supply all the bait, rods, reels, tackle and life jackets. You will need to dress for the type of weather we will be having, and bring a snack, drink and your fishing license if you are 16 or older.
